Preserving your old photos
Black and white photos that have been printed to paper will keep quite
well, but film is susceptible to mould. Mould on the surface of the film
can be removed with film cleaner, but mould that has penetrated into the
emulsion layer can be difficult to remove. If you have some old photos
or film stored away somewhere it might pay you to check up on them. I recommend
that you keep them in a well ventilated spot, or digitize them. You may
have some very valuable old photos that you can't even remember taking.
